About Us
Our Vision
To scale up access to water & weather data to create resilience to climate change.

Our Story
The collection of in-situ measurements on water & weather is alarmingly low in large parts of Africa & Asia. Yet, these same regions experience climate extremes & rapidly rising demand for water.
CEO Louise Croneborg -Jones
started working with water management in Africa 2009. Government staff often shared how hard it is to scale up the collection & use of water & weather data. Automated monitoring has had limited impact. But men & women are still hired to take measurements using tools - such as a river gauge plate or a rainfall bucket. They record the data in books, yet they all have mobile phones...
Louise Croneborg-Jones in Mozambique
This is how the idea for Water in Sight was born: make it easy for Gauge Readers to send measurements using any type of phone, and then make it easy to access & analyse that data online for useful hydro-meteorological insights.
