The National Water Resources Management Agency (NWRMA) operates under Sierra Leone's Ministry of Water and is responsible for the collection of the country's hydrological observations.

Having encouraged Gauge Readers to send measurements using SMS, but facing both technical and design challenges, NWRMA aspires to collaborate with Water in Sight to strengthen the technological approach and data quality.

Water in Sight and the Ministry of Water has signed an MoU and prepared a full project proposal to enable piloting and scaling up near-real time in-situ observations that enhances the country's water resources monitoring and management capacity.
